.Crashed.
do you know me
do you know me at all
I asked if you loved me
and their eyes began to fall.
“No darling, I don’t
we have nothing left to say
there’s nothing about you
that we share the same.”
Oh what a blessing I’ve been debating it so
I wanted to leave you
but felt like to hell I would go.
So here’s my goodbye
I can;t even cry
because from the second I hit
I knew you were a miss.
-
the color has faded
from the once rosy garden
I tried to plant it
but the dirt asked me
to beg its pardon.
“Please don’t spoil me
I’m soil you know,
my grains have dried
and there’s no water, only snow.”
when the weather around you
allows nothing to grow
the color fades
and life sits real low

.I can’t.
I’ve been thinking of you
on my most sad days
I’ve been trying to drown myself
been trying continue this daze
but I can’t stop looking at you
I want to see your smile
I’ve been finding your face
in every other mile.
Can’t you come back to me
we can run away so slow
the only thing to live for
is knowing that we’d go.

.On these days.
There’s a storm out there
it’s blowing too hard
the wet that surrounds me
has got into my scars
oh wounded brother, save me now
I have called for a demon
not the men that would bow
so look on from this life
stay away from the light
I got time to think
it’ll happen in a blink.
-
There’s death in my eyes
but I pretend to smile
I saw the film of here lies
the man, well, they spoke vile
but listen dear
and listen well
I can’t take the blame
from your wishing well
You’ve called for me
you’ve called real great
but the death in my eyes
has caused me to hate.
So smile on young darling in fact
because after my death
there’s time to turn back

.Mad for Men.
I haven’t given a review in a while, well beside the reviews and rants I place on life most times. Well I have been fully commited to my new obsession of mad men; Don Draper, Pete Cambell, Peggy Olson, the list goes on… along with the colorful stories. The show draws you in with an unmarked man walking into his office of blocks and whiskey, the music draws us on the downward spiral of women, booze, women, sex, family and ads. How can one not be intrigued by the blinding truth of consumerism? I couldn’t take my ears off the voices of the agency, the wardrobe takes me back to a place I wish I once was. Matthew Weiner produced the show at times writing an episode. You know the thing that keeps me interested though, not Don Draper and has ability to pull women as easily as he does clients; the fact that every episode has a different writer and director. Yet, every episode flows nicely as if all these people’s minds have been poured into a perfectly mixed drink. Whether your choice be gin or whiskey, this show exaggerates the warmth of the booze sliding down your razor throat hoping that the truth of matters will not be thrown up in your face. I am currently catching up on the seasons, not to be confused witha devoted fan from the beginning, but I have put in my time. I now have dreams of the agency, calling forth all my dreamsicle powers to touch Draper just one time, slide my pefrctly supple fingertips on the sides of his drunken face. Watching the show gives me inspiration and hope for my future, although I am 20 years old I can be in a position to marry a partner…right? I’m only kidding, at 20 I envy the life that Peggy leads, of course. She is strong willed in a man’s world, time’s have changed since the 1960’s but not entirely. A man may still walk around with his head held high never accomplishing more than a pat on the back and a nice pair of shoes., While a woman must hold her head high hoping that one of these men will notice her, listen to her, actually see her mind not her breasts. I struggle with my appearance everyday, which is something I felt I had in common with Peegy at the beginning, but as time went on and her responsibility became greater her blouses became cuter as her skirts became tighter. Not for a hope that one of the men would find her attractive because she felt that she deserved to be looked at just as Miss Halloway. Oh I need to get these people out of my head, but as I work at the front desk of one of the biggest sports entertainment offices, still see the way they look at a lowly receptionist and assistants to executives. Watching Mad men has inspired me not by the way they dress but the way women act, if you want something go for it. Mad Men gives an inside look at the ad agency in an era of fast times and heavy drinking, I will continue to watch for inspiration and and clues as to what will come of new seasons to come, which I hope is as plentiful as the drinks poured. Long Live Mad Men!!

.New comings and sorry goodbyes.
I’ve imagined you here
and always, your there
believe me dear child
they’d all love you bare
but show your soul
not your heart that melts
men will look at you
not a notch in their belt..
So shy on young girl
and think to the world
because when she thinks of you clear
its for the world that she fears.

I say let’s party
while you do not
I said I’m God-y
while you on tha block
take a sip
and cheers to me

Once upon one wreched beat
they got together
to let it be
they asked why God
do all them applaud
“oh yeah I’m great”said the big black men
they’d never know I was a fake
let them believe I’m a ten
so let’s make music
and drink real slow
they’ll look down upon us
while we lay on the flo’
